The Miami Symphony Orchestra announced today that Eduardo Marturet extended his contract as Music Director and Conductor
for five more years, until 2027.

Miami, May 1st, 2020 - The upcoming Season 2020-2021, starting in October, will mark the beginning of his 15th season, where Maestro Marturet has been the Music Director and Conductor of the Miami Symphony Orchestra Since 2006. 
MISO receives this news with great excitement as the upcoming season represents a huge challenge. The world is undergoing massive uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus (COVID - 19), where the orchestra will have to re-invent itself as we navigate into a new world.

Despite these uncertain times, the Miami Symphony Orchestra is proud to announce today the willingness and support of Maestro Eduardo Marturet to renew his contract as Music Director and Conductor for five more years, until 2027. 
“It is an honor and a privilege to have maestro eduardo Marturet supporting the orchestra and making it better every day better. He is an inspiration to all of us in Miami” says Miami Symphony Orchestra Chairman Rafael Díaz-Balart.
