Anna Litvinenko
Outstanding Young Artists Program's First Young Artist

Anna is an 8th grade student at Southwest Middle School in Miami. She has been playing the cello since age 7, under the tutelage of her father, Konstantin Litvinenko, the symphony's acting principle cellist.

Anna learned of The Miami Symphony Orchestra's Outstanding Young Artists Program from her father, Konstantin Litvinenko, acting Principal Chair in the Cello section of The Miami Symphony Orchestra.

Anna says, "I've learned so much from the symphony's professional musicians and from the Maestro and guest concert masters. They make you feel welcome and you can ask for help anytime."

In her first season with The Miami Symphony Orchestra, Anna has a chance to display her remarkable talent as a soloist. She is now the beneficiary of an artistic exchange program between The Miami Symphony Orchestra and the Venezuelan National Youth Orchestra movement with whom she will be playing as soloist next June.

Anna experiences, and the confidence and breadth of exposure to world class musicians gained through The Miami Symphony Orchestra, prompt her to encourage all gifted young musicians to take advantage of the symphony's Outstanding Young Artists Program.
